The Moorebank Logistics Precinct is the redevelopment of a 280Ha former Department of Defence site in Western Sydney, which is surrounded by existing industrial, commercial and residential uses, transport corridors, native bushland and the Georges River, into an integrated warehousing and rail terminal facility.

The Precinct will move up to 1.5 million shipping containers annually by rail instead of road, taking heavy truck movements off Sydney’s roads and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The scale and extent of the Precinct present a number of unique challenges across the planning and environment aspects of the development, particularly as the construction of the Precinct continues, as the first elements of the Precinct come online to operations.

Richard continues to provide strategic technical advice to the project.
