Cairns International Airport were in the process of revising and developing their Environmental Management System (EMS) in order to meet the requirements of the revised ISO 14001:2015 standard.

Aspect collaborated with the Cairns Airport Environmental Manager and facilitated an onsite 2-day gap analysis of the EMS against the requirements of the new standard:

  • Context of the organisation
  • Leadership
  • Planning
  • Support
  • Operation
  • Performance evaluation
  • Improvement

The gap analysis audit report provided guidance in the form of straight forward recommendations to bridge any gaps identified in the EMS as well as highlight the areas where the EMS met the requirements of the revised standard. Each element of the ISO 14001:2015 standard was broken down by clause and the status of the EMS categorised.
