Pre-Construction:
- Compiled a monitoring and audit checklist against the conditions of approval
- Reviewed principle contractor’s CEMP and any other environmental plans and advised TransGrid as to their suitability
- Inducted contractor staff at possession of site hand-over meeting regarding environmental aspects of the project
Construction:
- Undertook site monitoring inspections to verify compliance with conditions of approval, CEMP and environmental legislation particularly during:
- Vegetation Clearing
- Bulk earthworks
- Civil and steel works
- Building works
- Electrical works
- Transmission line connections (incl. earthworks for footings)
- Commissioning of the substation
- Site remediation and landscaping
- Undertook random audits of the site and the contractor’s EMS
- Prepared site audit reports and incident reports
- Prepared a final report for the site, which included a list of outstanding, ongoing or future environmental management issues.
